A plethora of dilemmas and contradictions, a School of Sociology and an Acting Degree were the cornerstones in my becoming a Filmmaker in 2009. My home country Romania, along with the stories of my people, the constraints, the constant desire to fling the hatchet, have a strong say in my formation. After 3 short films produced in Bucharest as an independent film director, I chose the UK film schools to enrich my knowledge in filmmaking.
In 2010, I was offered a place at London Film School, I was called for an interview at NFTS and I was given a bursary at East15 Acting School MA Filmmaking. I chose the latter, which I graduated in July 2012 with Distinction. Additionally, I was offered the Most Promising Director Award and I am premiering "Goneril", my graduation short film, this year at Cannes, in the Short Film Corner. This year's plans include the production of my next short film, "The notepad method" and the feature film "Bad Trip". Meanwhile, I keep myself open to any thought-provoking projects that come along. I wish that my future body of work would stand as a foray into human relationships reflected through a personal, innovative style in cinema.
